Excel Spread Sheet - How To Use
Published July 29, 2007
There is an Excel Spread Sheet that is attached to this web site.
When and as you open the above link, you will probably get a message asking if you want to open or save the item -- you may do either -- it is a "business confidential" file, however, and you are requested to not copy it or save it to your own PC.
When you click "open" you should have a "regular" Excel spread sheet.
Read below what you can do with it.
When you are done with it, click on your "browser close XX button. You will probably be then asked to choose from three choices. You may choose any of them without damaging the spread sheet.
It has been tested and seems to work such that any person who has access to this restricted section can click on the proper link and thereby open the spread sheet. Once opened the spread sheet should operate for you in much the same way as if you had it on your own PC.
There are certain fields on the spread sheet which you can change and then observe how other fields change automatically. Those fields which you CAN change have a yellow background
There are other parts of the spread sheet that are restricted so that they cannot be change from this web site.
This spread sheet is intended for Study Directors and prospective Study Directors to show how much commission they might earn with different levels of Membership in a group.
Keep in mind that this Business Model, and the spread sheet do not take into detailed account how much monthly time a Study Director might/should spend with each Member -- this is a very large variable. If a Study Director thought to spend an hour per month in some form of communication with each Member, had some thousands of Members, the commissions suggested would not be attractive -- so the Study Director must figure out for himself how he can achieve the Purposes of the Study, serve his Members and still receive adequate exchange for his time.
Keep in mind that there are no cash commissions other than to Study Directors -- none to Members.
Members are rewarded for recruiting activity by getting extra discounts on their personal purchases of Biosulf.
One could start his exploration of this spread sheet by entering some estimate of the number of Members in a Study Group.
Then, estimate a percentage of that group who would each purchase the minimum of 12 jars of BioSulf per year, and for other percentages (up to 100%) who would buy more than 12 jars. Those estimated to purchase more than 12 jars would bring more money into the sales for the group.
In a similar fashion, you can estimate what percentage of the Members would recruit some specific number of new Members and thus earn larger purchase discounts.
These are the main parameters of how much any particular group of Members would spend per year. This in turn, would give an approximation of the commissions to be paid to the Study Director.
These formulas are not exact since some arbitrary assumptions needed to be made about annual purchases by people with varying levels of discount.
Also our lack of experience with recruiting means that we do not try to predict exact figures, but you can predict as you wish.
