For a decade Vibrant Life has been selling Methyl Sulfonyl Methane (MSM) made in India by our good friend and partner, Emmessar Biotechnical & Nutrition, Ltd., Mumbai. We have competed with every other brand of MSM sold in the Country at prices usually lower than theirs. We also sell this same MSM in bulk tonnage quantities to several non-US distributors.
Only very recently did we learn that OUR MSM is dramatically different from every other brand of MSM sold in the US, and probably any other country.
Every competitive brand of MSM we have examined, including that made by either of the two large US manufacturers, Cardinal and Carolwood, we found impurities in the final product that OUR MSM does not have and never has had.

Mr. Emoto, in Japan, has perfected techniques of analyzing water and other substances by growing crystals in and from them. Thus, he takes "pure" water and grows a crystal of that pure water. He then takes water from your kitchen tap, or some well known stream, grows crystals from THAT water and shows how different the crystals are when the water seems the same -- even showing up how various toxins affect the crystal formation of the water that contains those toxins.
Thus, pure water will form crystals very much like snowflakes:
Mr. Emoto has discovered many fascinating differences in the crystalline structures of water from many different sources and different conditions around the planet. Take the same pure water and dissolve ANY brand of MSM sold in the US, or elsewhere, and when you try to make a crystal, you get MUD.
It is the impurities in an otherwise pure substance (pure water with no impurity, or pure water with pure MSM) that make crooked crystals or mud. Don't eat that stuff!
What are crystals?
Crystal (mineral), homogeneous portion of matter that has a definite, orderly atomic structure, and an outward form bounded by smooth, plane surfaces, symmetrically arranged. Crystals are produced whenever a solid is formed gradually from a fluid, whether the formation results from the freezing of a liquid, the deposition of dissolved matter, or the direct condensation of a gas into solid form. The angles between corresponding faces of any two crystals of the same substance, regardless of size or superficial difference of form, are always identical. (source)
What do Biosulf crystals look like?
The above image is of pure powdered Biosulf, dissolved in distilled water and poured into a regular glass tumbler. The water is then allowed to evaporate until all gone -- that leaves the crystals in the bottom of the glass.
The same process can be tried with our regular MSM, or with the Preventive MSM (PMSM) and you get beautiful crystals. Try any other? You get mud!
Those manufacturers of other MSM allow impurities to get into their MSM that destroy much of the value of the MSM.
